A CV summary is a short paragraph at the top of your CV. It should tell a recruiter what you do, the kind of role you want, and one or two facts that support that claim. This free tool drafts that paragraph for any job role. No login is required.
Start with the role and your experience level, then read the draft out loud. Cut anything you would not say in an interview. A summary that promises leadership, a qualification or a result you cannot evidence will cause more trouble than a plain one.
Useful summaries stay close to the job advert without copying it. Mention the setting you have worked in, the tasks you have actually done, and the sort of team you want to join. Avoid filler such as “passionate team player” unless you can point to the work behind it. British spelling and a calm tone travel well across roles, from a first job to a senior one.
Edit the wording until it is yours. If you want to see how that summary sits against a real advert, use the free review in the application workspace.
