STAR is a simple way to answer an interview question: Situation, Task, Action, Result. This free builder turns a real piece of experience into that shape, for any job role. You do not need an account to use it.
Start with a question you have been asked, or one you expect, and a situation you actually lived. The tool helps you separate what was going on, what you were responsible for, what you did, and what happened next. If you do not know the result, say what you learned or what changed for the customer, the team or the work. Do not invent a percentage to make the story sound bigger.
Keep the answer short enough to say aloud in about a minute. Use “I” for the part you did, and “we” when it was a team. Practise it once out loud and cut any sentence you stumble on. The preset roles are only a starting point, so change the wording until it fits your work, whether that is a ward, a shop floor, a classroom, a site or an office.
A clear answer still needs a CV that supports it. You can check that with a free review.
